Residing in the murky lowlands can make for a peculiar existence. Minimalism is key, and the union of mind, body and spirit aids in expanding the limitations of desolate living. A voice is much more than a voice. And, like many other oft-overlooked elements of daily life, the voice can be used to fulfill greater needs. (Ex. A bird call is not just a bird call, it's a call/cry for food.) This union can transform tin cans, car tires and fish bones Heathcliff dragged in from the swamp into wondrous pieces of exotic gadgetry; twig sticks, skeletal marimbas and natural cavern echo chambers are some of the first things that come to mind. And thus is the magic displayed on Muu's Way, the debut from WOOM, out June 28th on BaDaBing Records.
WOOM are playing Cake Shop tonight (5/18) and Death By Audio tomorrow (5/19).
